It lets you control MIDI parameters in your software. You can access your MIDI note range with your octave shift key. Keyboard dimensions are 14.2 x 1.5 x 4.2 inches and weighs about 1 pound. It is small and light enough to slip into your laptop bag, even if your laptop and mouse are already in the bag. The controllers are also small. The whole unit is designed for small spaces including small work tables at studios.
